Ellis in a shock almost. Well, the day did rush headlong, out of control! Good to see Paul and Ray as well again, they're really great guys, Mr Flush himself is quite a personality I tell you!
Back in the ballroom Tracy did do the "shock" trick (blinding eyes) at Wendy and wow, if one was shocked and happy to see me it was HER, no matter what people say I consider her as MY magic lady and she sure has something wonderful over her!
Julie as always with her, also excited. Well, I can go on, I heard that the rumours were going on about a mystery guest, well, appearantly it was me who was the surprise:):)
Listening to Brians convention message the big news is that he and Roger are going to tour, before the end of time, they are seriously working on plans for it now, wow, I do hope that I can see them again and they better hurry up!
After that Paul did do a few words for memorial of Tim. I was out for a second, missed the start and came in when he read my words. AArgh, and than old friends were played, soo wonderful, sooo, touchy. My tears were there and I was running to Wendy, I KNEW I should be with her for that moment.

after the tears were gone the meetings got on again. Seeing more people that I knew by name, the wonderful Leslie (wow, so young and than that beautiful), the Queenzoners, Bob the Shreck *Argh*, Alli *whoa*, Janet *woohoo*, Richard *cough*, Erin *whoopy*, Pieter *yo*, Catgurl *aaawww*, aahh, who do I forget, many, many, I suppose, forgive me my age, will you :)
And than that little red chick came to me, wow, I know, I did have a picture of her, but gosh mate, she is a beauty, really, wow!. I was gladly introduced to her brother and their friends (and Janet of course), it was so cool to meet them and I must say, I did look forward to it already, but the meeting did work out far more better than I even did dare to think about before!!
All kind of things happened, as they should happen on a first Queen eveng, the karaoke and some other things, but what I did enjoy most was the meeting and chatting with people!

Okay, the crowd is about 250 people, but when you see only 20 of them dancing then I am really thinking what the heck is happening, is this a Queen party or not?

Ellis (what a smile), Angel (what a hide), Beth (too serious), Jorgen (too proud), Paul (too close), Tracy (too shy!)
No matter what we did have a great time together. I did dance the night away with Janet and Stacey, we did have a lot of fun and a lot to talk about and ended in their rooms, what was exactly at the other side of were my/our rooom was, just 3 steps away. Saw a lot of pictures, had a nice trivia and we had a nice drink as well. Wonderful first night, really smashing and in bed around 3, I guess, I cannot remember exactly *o o*.
Saturday I was up in time (8) and did start relaxing with a bit of reading while my room mates were still sleeping. Then I went downstairs, seeing a bit of the swap still and than watched a bit the things at the swap market. Nothing really what was intresting for me, but always nice to see people doing their best to be creative with paintings and so on, and incredible how much vinyl there is on sale anyway!.
Went out for lunch (what was in fact my breakfast) with Magic, Mary-Joanne,Julie and Mark, cool people to get along with I must say.
You can't believe it or not, tin the restaurant whree we went, the first song I heard that they'd play was Mouth & Mc Neal: How do you do? !!!
That's a dutch song, and the singer did live one street next to me. In fact this record was the first single I did ever buy, so I do have memories with that. All the way in Cleveland to hear this, can't you believe it?
Wendy told me the trick of the "beatele" kick, (not sure if it is a true story, but when you see such a bug-gar, than you can "hit" the other before (s)he hits you).
She saw one and did hit me right away!! Hahahaha, but I did just hit back when I was hitten and the magic lady was just enjoying her attention as ever.

When we returned after that good meal, I'd walk in the ballroom for watching the watching the video of Queen in Houston, Ithnk it was arouhd 1980. What a really cool video that is! Freddie at his best, the show rocking and an awesome build up of the video. If I could lay my hands on that one, sooner or later, it should be worth something!
So nice to watch it together with Leslie and with Jenna, it was gain wonderful and nice.
The performance was awesome, and seeing it, sitting next to leslie, who is not only a beautiful personality but also a beautiful person to see, and Jenna (cool), made me really missing Freddie alot again. It seems that the longer the years are going by, the more I do value the Queen music. The more I also think about how sad it is that Freddie did die too young.
But life still goes on...
After that we did watch the auction, with the absolute highlight (in my eyes) freddies' belt. Again, like as it was in Wales again, I was amazed by the prices that people did pay for some items, and Ellis did lay her hands again on a nice shirt, if I remember correctly it was Brians'.
The raffle was very successful at our table, they kept running and taking the prizes to ours, what was pretty funny and especially marie-joanne did have a lucky day with 2 prices and Mark had his signed copy of the Heineken concert in Amsterdam
After the raffle and the food, what was not a highlight of the weekend, but hey, food was not the most important thing to be there, it was already great that we got something, so nothing than compliments!), we did have some time and I did spend that with a nice chat with wendy, THAT was long ago! :D
Later that evening the fancy dress was on. Before that there was time to spent into the preparations.
Did have a snack with the most loveely fancy dressed Freddie Mercury, what an eyes, what a beautiful outfit with the wings and what a shame that she did not get a price. Naaah, I am a bit colored in my opinion, but she deserved it, if you consider the work she had with it!
We were sitting and watching all the fancy dressed people walking by through the corridor. We had a first rank view at the creations made!

Than it was time for the band to play.
Leroy brown, with the amazing Jeff Scott Soto in it,
whoa, what a nice singer he is. And what a nice band, incredible, they only met each other that day and did do already such a great Queen set, it really did rock ass.
He did play with the audience and did invite some peoplle on stage as well in we will rock you. One of them was Stephanie who was of coure very proud to be there, and so were her sisters and her mother!

After the concert the dancing again and it was again a small group dancing, but I was very proud to see my closest friends all on the dancing floor.. Tracy, Ellis, ASngela, Mark, Magic, Mary Joeanne, Jorgen, Paul doing the sexy, and of course Janet and Stacey with their friends were there as well. Good company as ever Right!

Paul did drive the ladies sexaay with his dance and I must say that it was one of the most remarkable dancing evenings that I can remember in my life. All the ones that I ever dreamt to dance with on the floor. Okay (it gets boring, but I say it again), not many dancing, but the ones who were, they were the one from MY heart for sure!!

a lady wass coming to ask if I knew the mother of 2 kids that were searching for their mom, well I knew it, they were searching angela. It appeared to be Lynn, who had not recognized me and whe I did not recognize as well. :)
Kind of hilarious that was, but again showing a bit of how the US convention is different from the Wales one, it is so much more cosy and it is more a big family, because you are able to find more people in 250 than in 2000!
2.30 in bed again, after that I handed out some of the choclat and cd's to her, I FINALLY did do those things in time, me who is often too late in that!
Sundaymorning I was up at 8 already, did go down for breakfast and catched up with Jayme, finally met her and we had a nice talk.
Really great to see a true face with that lady! We did eat a bit for breaky and did watch together to the video of the performance of Brian and roger at
The We Will Rock You Promotional surpise concert in Amsterdam
I seem to get never enough from that concert and of course the americans were acting "cool" to see one who did attend that gig. A good warm up for what might be coming up soon?????
Ah yes, did buy another T shirt, nice one, and did take a pic of Nan and Michelle..ain't they cute?

The goodbye was so hard, good friends that became better friends, new friends that became close friends. Unforgettable memories, reflecting awonderful time that we did have... *sigh*
Long goodbyes, short goodbyes, but no tears, because I did realizeg how special my friends are, we left at 1 pm home, agian a long long drive, happy but tired!
Home, safe and sound, we could look back at a really wonderful weekend of what I only can hope that I can repeat it again, some day, some how.
Some things are history making, some things are immortal..
This weekend, Queen etched a new chapture in my soul
And it could not have been done with the ones that do love Freddie so much..
